Journaling offers an outlet to let go of feelings and emotions and put them on paper. This allows us to easier process and articulate what we are going through. It also allows us to begin the process of learning how to be vulnerable and talk about our feelings and emotions without having to speak to someone, which in the beginning can be difficult.
