Affirmations have been proven to help improve self worth. The important part of affirmations is to say things that resonate with you and your character. It does not have to be "I like myself." It can be something that means more to how you feel about yourself, such as "I am resilient," or "I am trying my best everyday." These reminders help battle the negative our brains tell us everyday. Visualization can also be extremely helpful. Sometimes when life is overwhelming, it is helpful to visualize what life can look like as you improve. When you are able to visualize, it can give us hope and allow our brains to start to see and believe the things we choose to visualize. Visualization has been shown to help athletes achieve great feats and can be helpful and helping us overcoming our own adversities.
